Description
Inactivated, bivalent vaccine against classical vibriosis caused by Listonella (Vibrio) anguillarum serovars O1 and O2 for immersion or injection vaccination in sea bass and sea bream.  

Composition 
Inactivated strains of Listonella (Vibrio) anguillarum serovar O1 and Listonella (Vibrio) anguillarum serovar O2α.  

Formulation
Water-based suspension for immersion or injection. 
Indications For active immunization of sea bass and sea bream to reduce mortality due to the disease vibriosis caused by Listonella (Vibrio) anguillarum serovars O1 and O2α. It also provides cross-protection against Vibrio ordalii.  

Dosage

Immersion: 1 litre is sufficient for 50 kg of 1-g fry or 100 kg of 5- to 10-g fry. Immerse the fish in a 1:10 vaccine dilution for 30 seconds.

Injection: For fish above 25g, 0.1 ml is injected intraperitoneally along the central line, 1 - 1.5 fin lengths in front of the base of the anal fin. Ensure the recommended dose is deposited into the abdominal cavity before the needle is withdrawn. The length and diameter of the needle should be adapted to the actual fish size.

As a recommendation:
   Primary vaccination of the fry (0.5 - 1.5 g) by immersion 
   1st booster vaccination at 5 to 10 g by immersion
   2nd booster vaccination after 240 days by injection
 
Withholding period
Nil. (National regulations should be observed). 

Presentation 
Norvax® Vibriose is available in 500-ml PET bottles.

Storage 
Store between 2 and 8°C. Do not freeze. Once opened, bottles should be used the same day. Don't use after the expiry date. 

Contra-indications
None 

Further information
Fish should be withheld from feed for 1-2 days before vaccination. Fish should be anaesthetised according to veterinary recommendations. Start feeding, at the earliest, 12 hours after vaccination. Only healthy fish should be vaccinated. Shake well before use. Sterile injection equipment should be used.

Should a person be accidentally injected, local pain, swelling and/or anaphylactic/allergic reactions may occur. It is recommended that the advice of a doctor should be sought immediately, informing him/her that the vaccine is water based.
