Norvax® Compact 4

Norvax® Compact 4 is an inactivated, multivalent vaccine against furunculosis, classical vibriosis and coldwater vibriosis for intraperitoneal injection in Atlantic salmon.

Norvax® Compact 4 is a multicomponent vaccine containing inactivated strains of Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida, Vibrio salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum serotype O1 and Vibrio anguillarum serotype O2α. The vaccine induces protective immunity in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) against furunculosis caused by Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida, coldwater vibriosis caused by Vibrio salmonicida, and vibriosis caused by Vibrio anguillarum serovar O1 and/or Vibrio anguillarum serovar O2α. Inactivated bacterial cultures are incorporated along with an oil adjuvant in a water-in-oil emulsion in order to enhance and prolong the immunity. The vaccine is administered by means of a single intraperitoneal injection.
