Overview - Dr. Zilong Tan

Zilong has over 20 years experience in the field of animal health across a range of animal species, including fish and shrimp. His professional career has included roles as Group Leader for vaccine development at R&D of Intervet Inc., Project Manager for business development at Intervet International and Manager of Veterinary Services at Intervet Norbio Singapore. He has worked for Intervet in various countries since 1994.  He is currently heading the VSD Department of Intervet Norbio Singapore. In this position, he is responsible for technical and marketing activities for Intervet’s aquatic animal health products in the Asia-pacific region. He has unique field expertise in epidemiology and health management. With Intervet, he provides regular training and technical support to the aquaculture industry throughout the region in the areas of disease diagnosis and health management. He also serves as a member of the Asia Regional Advisory Group on Aquatic Animal Health under the Network of Aquaculture Centers in Asia-Pacific (NACA).
