Committed to the development and production of high quality aquatic vaccines for cold and warm water species in Australia. 

Intervet Australia is based in Bendigo, Victoria, in southern Australia. It is at this site that Intervet develops and manufactures a broad range of vaccines for the Australian Animal health Industry in a state of the art GMP & AQIS approved production facility. This site also houses the Intervet Australia headquarters including customer service, sales & marketing, technical services and warehousing departments. Collectively this site services the supply of Intervet products (vaccines and pharmaceuticals) for various animal species, which has included aquatic species (warm and cold water) since early in 2005. 

With the increasing manufacturing and registration standards required for vaccine production for aquatic species, Intervet was well placed to take on responsibility for manufacture of several inactivated bacterial vaccines for farmed salmonids and barramundi species. These include registered products as well as vaccines available under APVMA permit, including autogenous vaccine production. Bath and injectable vaccine products are manufactured to control several production limiting bacterial diseases in salmonid species including yersiniosis (Yersinia ruckeri), vibriosis (Vibrio anguillarum), marine Aeromonad disease (atypical Aeromonas salmonicida biovar Acheron) and streptococcosis (Streptococcus iniae) in farmed barramundi. 

Intervet Australia liases closely with other Intervet AAH sites around the world including Bergen, Norway and Intervet Singapore, to capitalize on the most recent aquatic health R&D developments expertise elsewhere. There are opportunities and current activities taking place, with combined development projects between various sites.  

Intervet Australia is a new partner to the Australian finfish aquaculture industries and is committed to using both local and international resources to support these industries as they grow, with good quality, safe and efficacious vaccines .
